JOB TITLE: Short-Stay Team Leader of a Residential provision

Term time only + 5 Inset days, 37 hours per week
Experienced manager needed for short-stay provision for young people with SEMH and a range of other needs. We currently have an exciting opportunity for anexperienced Manager to join our short-stay provision with extended learning opportunities in Bristol for young people with SEMH, ASC, SLCN and a range of othercomplex needs. The Lodge is a Mon-Thurs facility affiliated with the Knowle DGELearning Centre. The Lodge provides short-stay residential opportunities exclusively for the young people of Knowle DGE Learning Centre helping them to work towardssocial/emotional, life skills, academic and attendance goals.
Our aim is to provide a safe and stimulating environmentin which young people can be nurtured, motivated, can contribute to the Lodge community, improve their lifeskills, complete Home Learning assignments and broaden their experience throughcompleting projects, attending events, going on trips and through encouragement to make healthy choices around food, exercise and their own personal care.
The Lodge is an holistic provision encouraging positive behaviours and social normsthrough a well-developed rewards system and seeking to beneficially influence eachguest’s experience of home and school life through experience of and participation inthe norms of a well-structured and well-resourced provision that is safe, secure, happyand which stimulates learning.

JOB TITLE                     Construction Tutor or Construction Teacher

GRADE                         Bristol Grade 10 or MPS

37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET Days                 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Tutor/Teacher to join our Knowle DGE team. To support and work with young people between the ages of 7-17 catering for the needs of pupils with behaviour, emotional and social difficulties and a range of complex needs.  We are seeking someone who is always enthusiastic and positive, can demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and are able to have a significant impact on pupil’s progress and attainment.  We are looking for people who have vision and imagination and who are both passionate about pupil’s learning and are committed to raising standards whilst supporting quality teaching.

Our Learning Centre, Knowle DGE includes a Construction workshop and Construction yard in which we wish to recruit an experienced and qualified tutor/teacher to provide entry, certificate to diploma level courses in this subject of learning, as well as skills training for KS3 students.  A proven track record of working with young people with SEMH is essential.

Our facilities are second to none and the opportunities for further professional development are integral to our ethos.

This is a permanent position with effect from September 2017.

Behaviour Assistant: 32.5 hours per week, permanent contract, term time only  + 5 INSET training days.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a behaviour assistant to join our supportive team. To support and work with young people between the ages of 7-17 catering for the needs of children with behaviour, emotional and social difficulties and a range of complex needs.  We are seeking to recruit people who are always enthusiastic and positive, can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, pursuing high standards of positive behaviour, using positive scripts and strategies to deflect/distract from undesirable behaviours whilst helping young people to reflect on mistakes, repair relationships and lower barriers to learning.

You will:

1.            love working with children

2.            be physically confident enough to implement Team Teach strategies

3.            have the skills and knowledge to support children with special educational   needs,   particularly using effective strategies to promote positive  behaviour

4.            work well with other staff

5.            be motivated, have a positive attitude and enjoy a challenge
