On behalf of the young people, staff and trustee's, I would like to welcome you to Knowle DGE. We hope you find our website clear, informative and easy to navigate. It is designed to give you a flavour of the vibrant life at our Academy, the work of our young people and the quality education we strive to deliver.
At Knowle DGE you will find a welcoming and purposeful environment, with relationships built on mutual respect. Our supportive pastoral systems help young people to achieve beyond their expectations and develop a strong sense of responsibility for themselves, their peers and the wider world. Knowle DGE young people develop skills for lifelong learning. Achievement is at the heart of our philosophy; we support this through nurturing pupils’ creativity, encouraging independent thinking and learning and showing that “mistakes are always” a learning opportunity. We are a forward-thinking Academy that never stands still and is always looking for ways we can improve further.
While it is our priority that the education your child receives here with us will enable them to achieve their academic potential and progress confidently into the next phase of their education. It is also part of our vision that all young people are filled with positive experiences, that they are aware of the endless possibilities that await them and that they are nurtured in order to develop within them, a confidence to embrace whatever comes their way. Underpinning the above, is our relentless commitment to ensuring that the young people of Knowle DGE possess the values that enable them to live well in society, preparing them to deal effectively with the challenges that the modern world presents.
All of the staff share this vision and recognise people as unique individuals with specific talents and needs. They work tirelessly to provide a varied, engaging curriculum and a positive learning experience.
